FRAZETTA John Carter recreation by SKY-BOY FRAZETTA John Carter recreation by SKY-BOY
My recreation of an iconic Frank Frazetta masterpiece. (I wish I would have known about Frank's technique of watering down his ink to achieve his delicate feathering, earlier in my inking career!)

Brush and india ink on 11x17 bristol.

Beautiful piece.  Can you explain what you mean about Frazetta watering down his ink for the feathering?  I've never heard that before and I'm about the effect.

When the ink is thinner, you can have less ink in your brush, resulting in more control.
